U.S. businesses can evaluate opportunities to bring defense innovations to market. The Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)) has expanded its Defense Patent Holiday pilot program, now offering companies an expanded portfolio of advanced materials patents from defense laboratories nationwide.
Qualified companies get no-fee Commercial Evaluation Licenses (CELs) — a rare chance to evaluate defense patents, test market fit, and explore commercial potential before committing to a license. This pilot program fast-tracks breakthrough defense technologies from the lab to the warfighter.
TechLink, the official national technology transfer partner, will guide companies through every step of the licensing process — at no cost.
